What is Evoluer?
Evoluer products are traditional oil-dilutable mosquito adulticides containing proven chemistry combination of Permethrin and the synergist piperonyl butoxide (PBO).  Permethrin is a pyrethriod insecticide, a synthetic form of natural pyrethrum.  While PBO by itself does not have pesticidal activity, it does enhance the effectiveness of Permethrin by reducing the insects ability to defend itself from the active ingredient.

How to Use.
Ground Application: May be applied with Ultra Low Volume (ULV) thermal or non-thermal (cold fog) equipment.  Do not apply when wind speeds exceed 10 mph.

Aerial Application: Apply as a ULV spray using either rotary or fixed wing aircraft.  Aerial application is prohibited in Florida unless specifically authorized by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Barrier Application: Apply to control and exclude flying and resting mosquitoes in urban and residential areas, golf courses, parks, recreation areas and other public areas.  Apply by low pressure hand held sprayers, backpack sprayers or truck mounted mist blowers. 

Can Evoluer Be Applied Around Crops?
Yes. While Evoluer is not designed for crop protection, it is labeled for use within and adjacent to many common crops.  See product labels for complete listing of crops.

Health, Safety and the Environment
Permethrin had been registered with the U.S. EPA since 1977.  Permethrin is considered to have low toxicity to both birds and mammals and is not a cholinesterase inhibitor.  While Permethrin is more toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms, the risks of use are low due to the use pattern and the small amount of active ingredient used.
